This teleradiology platform supports the unique Distributed Teleradiology Model F&S uses in order to conduct its business. The platform combines RIS, PACS and Dictation workflow, a highly, scalable, secure, redundant network/Internet infrastructure and proven operational and communications processes working in concert to route large image data sets and information to the right radiologist based on area of expertise, licensing, and availability. This enables our clients, regardless of their location, to receive high quality, clinically focused reports and interpretations from hard-to-find subspecialty experts.
The F&S data center is one of the highest quality solutions available in any market today. A Tier 1 co-located data center manages network and Internet infrastructure ensuring 99.99% uptime reliability, scalability and security.
Typically, all that is required to transfer DICOM images from the modality workstation to the F&S server is a broadband Internet connection and a VPN connectivity box.
Clients receive their radiology reports from AccuRad via fax, online access to reports and images, or via encrypted e-mail distribution of reports. Clients also have the options of online status checking on report delivery progress.
F&S complies with HIPAA, ACR™/NEMA and DICOM® standards in order to ensure the protection and storage of patient information, images and reports.
